Track Google & Bing algorithm updates and their impact on you

A new place to track search-engine algorithm changes and see how each one moved your account.

New

  • A dedicated Algorithm Updates page — See confirmed Google and Bing updates together with platform-detected search-result turbulence, with filters and details. You can optionally overlay update markers across SEO, keyword, AI Visibility, Local SEO, and blog analytics charts to line your performance up against important dates.
  • See how each update affected your account — Before-and-after impact reports summarize keyword rankings, share of voice, Search Console, AI Visibility, local rankings, and business-profile signals, complete with winners, losers, confidence notes, and a plain-language narrative. Generate them on demand, and they also refresh automatically once there's enough data. (A comparison shows movement around an update — it doesn't prove the update caused it.)
  • Privacy-safe platform benchmarks — Impact reports can show anonymized, minimum-cohort platform-wide impact alongside your own results, with industry-level context — and groups too small to protect privacy are suppressed.
  • Follow Google Search documentation changes — The tracker summarizes changes from Google Search Central, keeps a "What Google currently recommends" digest, and adds documentation-change markers to your performance charts.

Improved

  • Notifications for important search changes — You get an in-app notification when a confirmed algorithm update or a detected turbulence event is added, with retries designed to avoid duplicate alerts.
  • Algorithm Updates in the sidebar — The tracker is now reachable directly from the sidebar for users with access.
